වර්තමානයේ තරුණියන් ටැටූ එකක් ගහන්න හරිම කැමතියි. සමහරක් ටැටූ වල අදහසක් හෝ හැඟීමක් ප්‍රකාශ කරනවා. ටැටූ එකකින් යම් කතාවක් පැවසීමට, පිරිසක් අතරින් කැපී පෙනෙන්න හෝ අනෙක් අයව පෙළඹවා ගැනීමට භාවිතා කරනවා. සමහර අය මුළු සිරුරම ටැටූ එකකින් ආවරණය කිරීමට කැමතියි. එමගින් සිරුරේ ඇති කැළලක් වැනි අඩුපාඩු සැඟවීමට පුළුවන්. නමුත් අනෙක් අය පොඩි ලස්සන ටැටූ එකකට කැමතියි.
